Next to practicing, one of the most important aspects of your recording session will be the planning and development of proactive strategies for achieving your goals. A well-thought-out plan of action will result in a successful project. We’re here to assist you to that end. RATES $30.00 per hour If The Hideout is hired as the producer, there is no additional fee for participation in these meetings Pre-production includes a process where a recording artist, in consultation with the producer and the recording engineer, spends time creating and refining their music ideas and perhaps producing a demo recording, or rough-draft, of a song in order to determine ahead of time if the ideas, both lyrical and musical, are promising. This reduces time and money wasted in the studio. The goal is to enter into the recording phase of production with the basic and most promising ideas already established. Notable producers who preferred this process have been Bruce Fairbairn and Bob Rock who both produced records that went on to be smash hits such as Bon Jovi's Slippery When Wet, Mötley Crüe's Dr. Feelgood, Metallica's The Black Album and Aerosmith's Permanent Vacation. This process can be seen in the DVD documentary Aerosmith: The Making of Pump. |
